These are the compositional guidelines for the architectural project of the new headquarters in Bari Michele”, a famous venue, a fixed stop for the most influential men in the world visiting Naples. The premises of the “da Michele” pizzeria were the set for the 2010 film “Mangia, Prega, Ama”. The interior design molds with creative grace the features and genomics of the historic headquarters, celebrating with architecture the temple of the Neapolitan pizza tradition.
Revisited in a contemporary key, the large green bands on the walls, combined with the “Aganippe” company grits, are a clear stylistic reference to the historic headquarters. Along the walls, tongues of mirrors mark the perimeter of the room and expand the user’s cone with multiple reflections of light.
tables, essential elements, stripped of all ornamentation, were conceived following the order to form 2-4-8 seater seats, optimizing the capacity in the space. materials are the same as those present in the Naples location, with a metal base and marble top, plaster, deliberately left rough to the eye, celebrating the beauty of the essence, of the material. The studies on artificial light, the result of constant research on the theme of neuroarchitecture, are welcoming and soft, immersing the user in an atmosphere with an ancient flavour. The carpentry works were made to measure and painted in the same shade so as to fully integrate into the context. A large staircase leads to the basement where there are service rooms and round arches in Bari stone. The interior project of the ancient pizzeria da Michele di Bari aims to be a story of simplicity, exposing every single material to fully savor its essence.
